Ever since growing up, breakfast as the most important meal of the day was something not to be taken lightly!
Years have gone by and nowadays, with the combination of office hours; sitting at the computer whilst munching on snacks through out the day, exercise had to be added into the daily equation of life.
As little as 15 minutes of daily exercise can increase your life expectancy. Morning physical activity, be it our Boot Camp or Yoga sessions, that involve a combination of strength building, fat burning and muscle toning will leave you needing to refuel properly.
So what constitutes as a healthy breakfast?
Here are some healthy ingredient ideas we use in our menu for your inspiration:
Yogurt. Loaded with vitamins, yogurt helps to recover faster after a workout. Known as a source of high-protein, whilst containing healthy bacteria, yogurt helps our immune to fight against colds.
Honey. In addition to its lovely taste of natural sugars, honey helps to boost our immune system and performance as well as to reduce muscle fatigue after a morning exercise.
Fresh Fruits. Mango, coconut, pineapple, banana, avocado is just a few that one can include into a healthy breakfast. 1.5 to 2 cups daily fruit consumption is recommended in order to absorb its beneficial vitamins needed to replenish the body.
Eggs. A good source of protein, eggs keep you full much longer. Not only that, essential nutrient (choline) founds in eggs, which has been to linked to memory retention and alertness. Do make room for eggs in the morning.
Juices and Smoothies. This is an will also help to experiment in producing your very own favorite recipe. Easy-to-digest form for your body to get all the vital nutrients, minerals and antioxidants. Potent beverage in a glass will also help to improve the quality of your skin. Why not try using some of natural ingredients like carrot, celery, beetroot found in your kitchen and experiement in producing you very own favorite recipe.
Quinoa. The superstar of quinoa is not only packed with protein, fibre and other vitamins, but is also gluten free. It is also good for blood sugar control. Positive effects on metabolic healthy and weight loss.
Kick start your day with morning exercise followed by a choice of healthy breakfast menu selection in the café set in a beautiful garden by the beach at Taman Bhagawan, Tanjung Benoa – Nusa Dua, Bali.
